CFL multimodal has expanded its combined train network: as of May, the group has been operating a new line Zeebrugge - Bettembourg - Nancy in partnership with Transports Vigneron.

The new rail line links the Britanniadock in Zeebrugge (BE) to the Champigneulles terminal in Nancy (FR) with a stop at the intermodal terminal Bettembourg-Dudelange (LU), thus enabling connections to Lyon (FR), Le Boulou (FR) and Trieste (IT).

This new line has been operational since 15 May 2017 with 3 round-trips per week between Zeebrugge and Nancy. A frequency increase to 5 round-trips per week is planned by the end of the year.

The trains are open to semi-trailers, swap bodies and 20’ to 45’ containers. Transit times between the Zeebrugge and Nancy terminals is 24 hours.

The rail lines departing from Zeebrugge via the intermodal terminal Bettembourg-Dudelange also enable connections to Lyon, Le Boulou (at the French-Spanish border) and Trieste, with continuation to Turkey.

In addition, the UK and Scandinavian markets can be reached via sea, departing from Britanniadock in Zeebrugge.

This new rail link expands the CFL multimodal combined transport network between Spain, France, Turkey, the UK and Scandinavia.
